Japan’s medtech startup CureApp gets $14M to help reduce lifestyle diseases globally

Japan’s digital health startup  CureApp  announced on Monday that it has fundraised 1.5 billion yen (about $14 million) in the latest round. This follows their  previous $3.4 million funding  from Beyond Next Ventures (BNV), Keio Innovation Initiative (KII), and SBI Investment back in February last year. In addition to existing investors BNV and KII, participating investors in this round are Itochu Corporation (TSE:8001), Itochu Technology Ventures, Cyberdine (TSE:7779), Dai-ichi Life (TSE:8750), Mitsubishi UFJ Capital, Iwagin Jigyo Souzou Capital, Saison Ventures, Chibagin Capital, and Mizuho Capital. Startup Grind : Booth Exhibition & Quickfire pitch

【 Our 2 nd Day at Startup Grind 】 On our 2 nd day at Startup Grind, we had an opportunity to have a booth that we could represent what CureApp do and meet with other startups, sponsors, and 14 investors . Many of them stopped by our booth, for our Series C round, and exchanged our business cards so that we can help each other.  【Quick fire  Pitch 】 As Top 50 , Our pitch was scheduled to be at 16 : 20 PM on February 13. The quickfire pitches took place in small groups of about 6 or 7 companies and were scheduled between speakers. We would be allowed 1 minute to effectively introduce our company and why we're such hot stuff. Our mighty COO Miyata san gave two pitches to audience today, and we realized how important to show them the Efforts to create an evidence based App and our achievements we have made in three years. At Startup Grind: Pitch Bootcamp & Opening NIght

As a Top 50 company at Startup Grind's Global Conference 2018, today we had the opportunity to pitch CureApp on the main stage to an audience amassed of attendees, investors, entrepreneurs, media, and tech enthusiasts. It was streamed live globally so anyone could watch. But before we could go and tell the world about CureApp, we were invited to Pitch Boot camp, a long session on come up with the perfect pitch. Now obviously, we thought our pitch was exultant already and were ready to take the spotlight. Opening Greeting & Bootcamp : Opening TD Lowe, Managing Director and overall Startup Grind rock star, started with opening comments and introductions, however time was short so things had to move quickly. We were put into groups of about 6 or 7 startups and paired with 2 amazing coaches. Our Coach listened to our history, our customer's pain points and how we're solving these points. To kick off our posts about our journey, we thought we might touch on the "Preparation day” First and foremost if you don't know anything about Startup Grind's Global Conference, check it out Here .
